MBM

This “Barcelona Design Week” has focused on a house designed in the seventies by MBM architects. The space has been renovated by Estudio Vilablanch team, seeking to maintain the essence of this work and adapting it to the needs of today’s life.

The project includes timeless STUA designs such as the Globus chairs in the kitchen, and Libera armchairs with Solapa tables in the living area.

MBM Architects

Born in the midst of the dictatorship, the MBM studio (Oriol Bohigas, Josep Martorell and David Mackay) challenged the falsely classical architecture imposed by the Franco regime and fought to open a gap in modern architecture through a multitude of projects, which made it the most influential Barcelona architectural team of the second half of the 20th century.
