CONFLICT MINERALS POLICY
In compliance with REGULATION (EU) 2017/821 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION of 17 May 2017 laying down supply chain due diligence obligations as regards importers into the Union of tin, tantalum and tungsten, their ores and gold originating in conflict or high-risk areas, STUA S.A. declares:
STUA S.A., undertakes not to use in its products any “conflict minerals” in the manufacture of its products. Conflict minerals are gold, columbite-tantalite (coltan), cassiterite, wolframite or its derivatives, tantalum, tin and wolfram, irrespective of their origin. Conflict minerals that may have adverse consequences under the Conflict Minerals Regulations are those that originate in (or are extracted from) the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and/or neighbouring countries.
STUA, S.A. requires its suppliers to ensure that all compounds they supply to STUA are, in turn, free of “Conflict Minerals”. To this end, STUA, S.A. requires its suppliers to establish their own due diligence programmes to ensure a supply chain that results in “DRC Conflict Free” products in accordance with the above mentioned Standards.
