WISCONSIN, A LAKE HOUSE

A family decided to return to her hometown, Racine, Wis., and build a light-filled house overlooking Lake Michigan.
The project used local materials as well as the latest  green technology.
Traditional homes surround the new structure, which is one of two homes in Wisconsin to gain platinum LEED certification for its green features.
The house, heated and cooled geothermally, draws power from two photovoltaic arrays, on the roof and in  the yard.

For the kitchen nice Gas chairs have been placed.
Architects: Brian Johnsen and Sebastian Schmaling, of Johnsen Schmaling Architects
